Project Overview

Full demolition and reconstruction of a 170-foot vehicle ramp serving a rooftop parking deck in Mount Kisco, Westchester County. L&M removed the deteriorated ramp to its supporting steel, replaced beams and beam-to-column connections, and rebuilt the structure with new metal deck, epoxy-coated reinforcement and a 4,000 PSI structural slab - followed by a complete waterproofing assembly, traffic coating, and new OSHA-compliant handrail.

The building stayed in operation throughout. L&M installed overhead protection beneath the ramp before demolition began, so the business underneath continued running while the ramp above was taken down to steel and rebuilt.

Scope of Work

Demolition of the existing ramp deck to structural steel; steel beam replacement with new beam-to-column and girder-to-column connections; CMU wall repair at columns; new 3" vented metal deck; epoxy-coated reinforcement and welded wire mesh; 4000 PSI air-entrained structural slab and topping slab; slab edge reinforcement; expansion and seismic joints; waterproofing assembly and column base waterproofing; traffic coating; sheet metal cap flashing; drain replacement and flashing; guardrail removal and reinstallation; new OSHA handrail; scrapeprime and paint all exposed steel.
